I have the honor to state for the information of the Honourable the Major General commanding that the sum of thirty Dollars has this day been claimed as the assessed Police Rate from the premises occupied by this department for the quarter ended 30th Ultimo.

A claim thus made for the first time during the five years we have occupied these premises - made also under the special Authority of His Excellency the Governor, with this intimation to the assessors that if not fully satisfied within seven days, I shall be personally dealt with like a private individual.
