three Japaneses. Four vessels from coast ports, and one from Wham- poa and one from Cantor arrived with a nil entry of cargo. Departures over the same period came to 14, these in- cluding two vessels for Amoy, one for Kwang Chow Wan and one for Hap nhong; with clearances three.

The Master of the Eaomedon (British)

from Yokohama and Shanghai, reported to the Harbour Office yesterday that on February Bad four Chinese fishermen were picked up from a fishing boat. The boat was en Ret on fire and abandoned.

The master of the Huiche (China Navigation Company), which has ar- eived from Tientsin and Weihaiwei, reported to the Harbour Office that Mr. Ting Shi Kong, No. 3 Compradore, died of consumption on January 18th and that his body was landed at Weihai wei on January 21st.

Deck passengers antered for the twenty-four hours ended at &.m. Later arrivala, too late for entry in yesterday, totalled 23. of which number the s.a. Tanda brought 104 from Mel bourne and Manila.
