Of the cargo entered for Hongkong, 9,408 tons were carried by British vessels. The beaviest entry was by the Norwegian vessel with 3,780 tons of coal and the next best by one of the British vessels with 1,073 tons of general cargo from Mel- bourne and Manila, the Dutch vascel coming third with 1,061 tons from Bela- wan Deli and Singapore.. Deck passen- gera carried totalled 1,975, of which the &s. Fan Clonn (Dutch) brought 1,687 from Belawan Deli and Singapore."

SHIPPING NOTES.

A notice in the Harbour Office yester day stated that the two following reports had been received from the master of the s.s. Zok Sun (British steamer from Haiphong nad Hoihow). (1) Tuesday, January 10th, 1.10 p.m. Latitude 20 34t. N., Longitude 107 25ft. E.,. passed six logs lashed together about 30 feet long. Dangerous to Navigation." (9)" Monday, January 25th, 2.15 p.m. Latitude 20 11ft. N., Longitude 110 40ft. E., passed the wreckage of a junk off Hainan Head in the channel between Red buoy and Riversdals buoy. Picce of planking from starboard „bow attached to portion of stem is showing Remain- der of junk, if close at hand, is danger ous to navigation."

At the Marine Court yesterday, Lisut, “Commander G. F. Hole, RN., fined two junk masters 85, each, with the alter- native of five days" hard labour for mooring outside five others alongside the 6.8. Tjikini.

Later arrivals, too late for entry in the above returns, included the s.9. Hyrungen" (British) from Kwang Chow Wan with 187 tons of general cargo; and the a Hoi Nam (Portuguese) from Kwang Chow Wan with 150 tons of general cargo.
