PYORRHEA

YORRHEA is distressing to have but easy to prevent. For one hundred yean dentists throughout the wodd have recom- mended this preventive: saturate your brush with sparkling, refresh ag LIQUID SOZODONT the first thing in the morning. Massage your gums briskly until the foamy liquid has brought the blood bing- ling to the gums. Rub the teeth thoroughly from gum to the edge. of the teeth. Let century-old LIQUID SOZODONT penetrate every crevice between the teeth to remove small particles of food. Use either SOZODONT PASTE or POWDER to thoroughly dean the teeth. This should be done at least twice a week. SOZODONT is bee from disagreeable and harmful grit.

If you will persist in the combined use

of LIQUID SOZODONT and SOZODONTA PASTE or POWDER your gums will resist dread pyorrhea and your teeth will be fro from decay,

Hongkown After the Secretary had read the notice convening Le meeting:

The CHAIRMAN said: Gentlemen,-The Report and Statement of Accounts, to gether with the Auditors' Report, have been in your hands for some days and with your permission I propose to follow the usual procedure and take them as read. The Balarce. of Proft and Lose Account this year amounts to only $1,043,016. 15. compared with 83,183,237.51 for the previous year. But this latter amount included large profits on sales of property and shares. these are elimin- ated it will be found that the nett revenue amounts to $1,023,218 15 in 1925 compared to: 8088,410,55 in 1924, or an increase of $38,768.60 in 1925.

In his speech at this meeting a year ago, my predecessor told you that no sales of property had been effected since August, 192, and added that the exist ing state of the property market did not indicate that the Company would find sales material source of profit in 1995. This forecast proved entirely correct and the only sale made during the year was of a house at the Peak. It could not, of course, be expected that the property boom would fast many years and your Directors were quite prepared for the reaction which has set in.

-

Turning now to the accounts. Accounts Receivable at $373,868.53 is high com pared to 8338,896.57 on 31st December, 1824. Both these figures include the sum of 8225,000 due in respect of the sale of some Praya East Reclamation Right As a rule & Mortgage is execuset for such a aale and the amount included under Amount advanced on Mortgages." In this instance, however, no Mortgage deed was drawn up, but we retained the docut ments as security. This account also in- cludes rents due and interest on mort- gages. The former are about normal but there is a substantial sum outstanding in interest. Your Directors have con- sidered these outstandings carefully and are of opinion, that they will all he paid, but that in any case the security is adequate to cover them.

An interim dividend of $2 per share has already been paid and your Directors recommend a final dividend of $2 per share, absorbing $460,000 pay, a bonus to staff of $8,000, and carry forward 8848,140.33 which includes $73,124.38 brought forward from the previous year. Last year we were able to pay a bonus of $2.50 per share in addition to this dividend but we had substantial profits from sales of property and shares to draw upon which we have not got this year. The carry forward will be $75,016.15 larger and this your Directors consider only prudent in view of our large out-- standings although, as I have already Baid, they regard them as sound, w

I do not think, gentlemen, that there are any other matters that call for ex- planation, and I now beg to propose the adoption of the Report and Accounts. When this has been seconded I shall be glad to answer to the best of my ability any questions which shareholders may wish to ask.
