In the year 1848-9 three Reports and estimates were sanctioned by His Excellency amounting to £479. 11. 17½ of which was for sundry repairs to Buildings, forwarded to England and approved of in Lord Grey's Despatch. 199 of 17th February, 1849.

The other services were for the formation of a brick sewer £89.13. and the alteration of the Court-house £186, 8.-

The Services sanctioned by His Excellency The Governor under Requisitions were for general repairs and Flagstaff at Government House amounting in the whole to £272. 18.3.

In the year 1849-50 one Report and estimate was sanctioned amounting to £356,8. 3" (copy of which is enclosed herewith) for the Road to North Point. This work has never been formally sanctioned but circumstances connected therewith were reported home in His Excellency's Despatch to The Right Honorable the Secretary of State N°22 of 7th January 1850.

The Services authorized under Requisitions amounted to 42; which in addition to the ordinary general repairs, comprised Lodge at the Cemetery N°14, £46. 14.7; Widening the Valley Road N°17, £71. 0. 10; alterations and additions to the Magistracy N°31, £60. 3. 8; Flagstaff at Government offices P26, £132.5. 3; Boat shed, stable, &c., Police Station, N°35, £31, 5.0. The whole of the 42 services amounting to £638.7.3.

In the year 1850-51 ending September 1850- one Report and Estimate has been prepared amounting to £151. 11. 11 for brick arches to the Bridges in the Wongneichung Valley.
