Sunday's race was round the Island, distance of 24 miles, going vid Sulphur Channel, Repulse Bay, D'Aguilar and Lyemua.
La Cigale, and I and the Navy cutter got well away, followed by Ladyr, Jean Norseman and Coquette in com- pany, with Brendu following close and Teby. 11. behind. It was windward work against the tide from Sulphur Channel to D'Aguilar. La Cigale stood the weather extremely well, but σ and I dropped a little to leeward. Coquette. sailed an extremely good course to wind. ward, and passed all boats except La Cigale. Coquette was 20 minutes behind the leader at D'Aguilar, and eventually managed to beat her on corrected time by three minutes, La Cigale being second, and Norseman third.

Commander Ratsey, H.M.S. Titania, sailed a Navy cutter rigged with gunter lug foresail and jib. She did well early in the race, but apparently took the wrong course and finished late, crossing
the line about 6.30 p.m.

SATURDAY'S RACING.
There was a good day's racing at the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club on Satur day. in spite of the difficulties under which the competitors laboured. At the start the wind was at force, two, but to- wards the end of the race, the wind fell considerably, and the yachts had to make the best of their way against the Inst of the ebb.
La Linda finisher first in the Handi. rap Class, and was followed in by Rolla, Diana and Argulla.
In the Heyward Hays Class Boojum was first, with Why Wonder? second, and Sralark, third. In the Gaels Class Daphne was the winner.
