The shipping statement for yesterday showed that the total number of vessels in the harbour at 9 am, was 60, of which 34 wero British,
Ft the twenty-four hours ended at 9. yesterday there were nine arrivals, of which six were British, one American, one Dutch and one Japanese. The departures for the same period also numbered aine and there were two vessels with clearance papers in yester day.
The total amount of cargo entered for Hongkong was 3,113 tons, as against 13,799 tous for the previous twenty-four hours. Through cargo entered was 20,361 tons and the total of the combined cargers was 23474 tons. Deck passen- sers carried totalled. 1,054, of which wore brought by the a.. Fan Overstriten from Amoy and 233 by the s.s. Pessident Piert from San Francisco und Shang. hai.
