Augustine Heard & Co wera the General Managers and the original capital was $750,000. The Company was begun with three staall boats, the Flite Cloud, the Kin Khan and the Fire Dart. Mr. P. A. da Costa was secretary until The Company was re-organised in 1875. 1884, Mr. T. Arnold, from 1884 to 1908, when Mr. John Arnold, the son of the Capt. W. E. Clarke from 1908 to 1917, late Mr. T. Arnold, took the post and is Becretary at present.
