In the final yesterday the game was very one-aided, Q.M.S. Faro and Q.M.S. Hewitt (RE) defeating Staff-Surgi Curzon and Pte. Lake (RA:O.C.), 844, 6-3, 6-1.

The shield for the League Champion-- ship was won by "B" of the RE.'s. The players were Lieut. Col. Trevelyan, Quarter-Master-Sergeants Hewitt, Faro, Turner, Brown, and Staff Sergeant Higgs. The RA.O.C. wore the runners- up-Staff Sergeants Davies, Curzon, Morris and Privates Lake Pain and Olliver.

At the conclusion of the doubles game, Capt. Alfree, before calling upon Major- General C. C. Luard to present the prizes said that this year ten tents had entered for the tennis league and the games had brought out some excellent tennis. This year's tennis had shown a

considerable improvement on that of last f year. The winners of the league RE. (8) bad gone through the league without losing a match. (Cheers) The runners up.were the RAO.C. who won the league last year. In fact there was very little difference between them and the winners. Twenty-one trains had entered for the United Doubles and the games were play ed off in a week. Concluding Lapt Alfree said that he would like thank Mr. May, the Secretary, for the fine way in which he had organised the tengus and the tennis doubles, since everything had gone extraordinarily smoothly, this year owing mainly to his efforts.
