PRESIDENT'S SPEECH. The PRESIDENT said: "I propose with your consent to take the accounts with the auditors' report attached, which have been in your hands for the past week, as read. You have no doubt examined them with some degree of satisfaction, and I think I may say they are the best in the history of the Club, perhaps one or two items in the Work ing Account on which you may like to have an explanation. The increase in repairs and renewals is accounted for by repairs done to the railings round the ground, part of which were renewed. The Club bore half the cost otherwise this heading would have been alightly less than last year.
