I have the honor to enclose
an
Extract from
Queries
received by
the last Mail from the Audit Board,
London, and beg to bring to our
notice that it will be necessary
to inform Sir John Davis, Bart,
now
in
England, that the sum
£72.9s has to be refunded
by him, as Salary
overpaid
to him for the period from 1st to
20th March 1828.
I believe that this
payment should be made to the Agent for the Colony
