under which they took office would not be interfered with during the period they might continue to hold them.

As vacancies however, there is room for considerable reductions in the Salaries attached to the present Offices, and Your Lordship's instructions will not be lost sight of, should they occur during the time that I have the honor to administer the Government of the Colony.
