The funeral ritire for the late Dr. Sun Yat Sen begin today with a private funeral service at the Peking Union Medical College attended by his relatives | nad friends and nmòng "those present were a number of foreigners.

The speakers emphasised ja the era. of their remarks that the late Dr. Sun Yat Sen was a Christian. They declarec that. Christ was a revolutionary and Dr. Sun hail followed in his footsteps in that respect. He had laboured like Christ to uplift the weak and the poor and fu bring liberty to them that were bound.

The coffin was carrial by members of the Kuomintang committee themselves and was so closely surrounded by mourn. ers that it could scarcely be seen by those lining the streets. The pall bearers were in three groups of sixteen each and in cluded certain Russian friends of the deceased, mingled with the Kuomintang hearers. The coffin was covered by the Kuomintang Bag, which is mostly of red with one corner representing the blue [sky and the' aun.
