SOUTH CHINA “B” «. R.A.

This match was played on the Sookun- poo ground, South China completing their season with a win over the RA, by two goals to one. These are the first points obtained by South China in their first league season.

The RA started off with determina- tion, but South China scoring in the opening minutes the Gunners fell away and never looked like & winning team. llowing a ling run by Chui Kwong South China's outside right, Leung Wing Tak, opened the score for the visitors and within another five minutes the same

again netted, taking ad- player vantage of a weak clearance by Clayton the RA goalkeeper Sargent was wel! placed to score for the 4. but sent tamely into the hands of Chan Fook Choi, Again the RA, got going, but South China's goalie cleared after the ball had hit the upright from a shot by Sargeat. Just before the interval, the RA. were attacking but failed to score and at halftime were two goals down."

wis

Early in the second half, the R. A, were favourably placed but shooting. erratic. South China were forced to net on the defensive, being content with their two goals lead. The RA middle line held the South China attack, but the forwards showed little understanding. Pulford Beat in a fast shot and Chan Fook Choi came out to clear but before he could recover, Sargent had gained possession and sent the ball into the net. With but ten minutes to go the R.A. tried to level up, but South China kept hem out and the final whistle sounded with the score, South China 2, RA 1.

KOWLOON RESERVES. CLUB DE

RECREIO "AR

A good game was seen on the Rail- way ground Kowloon, between the Reserves, and the Club de Hecreio "A": The game was keenly contested through- out and on the general run of the play in the first iteen minutes of the game the Club de Recreio deserve their win. The home team were unfortunate in los- ing Spiller, their goalkeeper, early in the second half and further by Brown dropping back to goal, thereby weaken ing the attack.

The Recreio opened the game with a raid on the home goal, but Spiller cleur- ed and the Heserves had hard luck, fal- lowing a corner kick against Silva. The Club returned and Fuertes opened the score with Spiller helpless. The Club maintained the lead throughout the re- maining portion of the game and, al- though Kowloon tried hard to pull the game round, they found Ogley and Silva on top of their form. Just on time, Kowloon were awarded free kik twenty-five yards out but Caveillé gent in wide and the final whistle sounding abortly after, the Club de Recrein won by the "only gont of the match.
