BOARDING HOUSE SUED. JUDGMENT FOR DEFENDANTS.

In the Summary Court yesterday morning, before the Puisne Judge (Mr. Justice Gompertz) the Tai Tak firmi sued the Kam Hoi Boarding House, Yaumati, for $313.35 for goods sold and delivered. Mr. E. A. C. Brook appeared for plaintiffs, and Mr. Les d'Almada for defendants.

Mr. Brook said the claim Was 3 straightforward one. An account had been rushing with the defendant firm since April last, and payments on ac court had been made at various times.

Mr. d'Almada "said the defendants denied that the goods had ever been pur- chased.

The manager of the Tai Tak gave ovi- dence, and said the goods were ordered by Chan Hoi Chow, who represented himself to be master of the firm, and a mac named Li Sai Wab, cook and buyer.

Cross-examinel, witness said the shroff had several times visited the restaurant, and the accountant had made payments

to him. It had never been denied that the goods had been delivered.

BOATPEOPLE IN TROUBLE
