The sailors made several changes in` their team while the Club made but one. Howard playing in the forward line in place of Forsyth. The exchanges were even in the opening minutes until Jones broke away for the Club and Wavish was- called upon to clear from fast low drive. Play was soon at the other end where Gerrard let in Johnson and the winger, amidst applause, beat Hodger with a bigh shot from close range.
The goalkeeper had no chance whatever to see the ball after it left the foot of John-terval the scores were East Surreys. 3; son until it came to rest in the net. From the restart the Surreys took up the attack on the left. Wheeler stopped a shot from the left and Butler catching the ball on the rebound sent in a fine screw shot. Kowloon, now being four goals down, worked hard to pul the round. Jordan, during the rush, handled just outside the penalty area MoBride sent in along the ground and the ball rebounding from a defender, le Bride sent it into the net, thereby ing the score for the home team. Hun berstone soon replied for the Surreys. for following up good work in midheld the centre forward scored with a Fast shot. Kowloon were not down and out, but came up gamely, and Fasco scored their second goal with a fast low drive, for although Douglas stopped the ball be failed to, held it and it went between his legs into the net. With but a few minutes to go, the home team tried hard final whistle found them defeated by five to reduce the lead against them but the goals to two.

From the restart the sailors took up the attack and Rodger was called upon to clear from Johnson, while shortly afterwards Prior, receiving from Hand ford,, tumed the ball outside the posts. Bishop was working hard to keep out the Tar forwards and succeeded, while at the other end Jones was testing Warish from long range. Leonard stopped Pile but was forced to concede a corner which however was fruitless. Towards the close the sailors put on pressure but failed to add to their score and the final whistle sounded leaving them winners by the only goal scored. On the general run of the play, the sailors deserve their win.

EAST SURREYS KOWLOON,
Playing at bome Kowloon went down heavily to the East Surreys in a frist scoring game by five goals to two. The home team had to take the field without their Captain, McKelvie, and Taylor came out to complete the side. Duncan dropped over to the centre half position, while Taylor replaced him on the left wing. Facing the sun the home, team quite held their opponents, and with a little luck would have been one up in the open minutes of the game. Douglas, the Surreys goalkeeper, misjudged a drop ping shot from Clemso but managed to turn the ball round the post for a corner. The Eag kick was well taken, but Vickars was wide with his shot. The Surrers then transferred and 'But- ler, receiving from Enton, had a good chance to upen the score for them, but lifted the ball into the hands of Beach.
The next moment Humbersone was CLUB responsible for a fac movement but it ended weakly and Beach cleared. Eaton was the first to store; receiving a for- ward pass from Humberstone he took the ball on the run and sent it into the net. Shortly afterwards the Surreys went farther ahead, for Humberstone, meeting the ball from a centre by Charles worth, gave Beach no change with a high shot. The home team tried to rally, and Clemo was very good on the wing, but the inside forwards could not finish and several fine centren were wasted. Good play by Charlesworth, led up to the Surrey's third goal, for after Humber stone had stopped, the ball from a pass by the winger, Exton, with a first timer, sent it into the nets Beach not seeing the ball until it landed there.
