The feature of the programme of mat ches in the Senior Division of the Scot tish League was the number of games in which clubs in the same district were in opposition to each other. The most im portent meeting of local clubs was at Edinburgh Form pointed to a victory of the Hibernians, but some early failures seemed to depress them, and the Hearts then came in and scored a well deserved victory. The local Derby in the North ern district was between Aberdeen, who were at home, and Dundee. As generally expected, Aberdeen excelled in uttiek, and continuous pressure on the Dundee goal during the first half presaged the ultimate success of the home side, Dun dee, however, reversed the positions after interval, and the closing 15 minutes provided an mastery. Defences struggle for the prevailed, and neither side scored. The first encounter of the Fifeshire clubs, Raith Rovers and Cow- denbeath, in the Senior Division, favour ed the latter club in the earlier stages, but they tapered off and Raith won well. A mistake in tactics lost Ayr the game to their county opponents of Kilmarnock, Airdrieonians Greenock, and went into top position, point ahead of Rangers and Celtic. L-The Willys-Knight car is the four cylinder motored car that makes the six
unnecessary.
The Knight motor is steam principle. The valve two cylindrical sleeves with rectangular slots or porta which when they register with each other and the porta in the block allow the ingress and egress of the gases without obstruction. These wide open passages, particularly on the exhaust side, permit a more thorough cleaning of the barat gases from the combustion chamber than any other type of mator, so that every ounce of energy available in utilized from the explosive mixtars, which gives us such tremendous power
-it has no valve to grind and no carbon to clean.
The combustion chamber is completely surrounded by water and an alloy piston noted, fox its great hea! radiating qualities is used so neither the combustion chamber zer the head of the piston gets hot enough to baka the residue from the exposed gases to form carbon while there is still enough heat maintained to handle the explosive mixture exectively.

While carbon can not form in the combustion chamber, still a certain amount of the residue from the barnt games works up behind the wide scaling ring in the cylinder head and as this builting in process obtains, it keeps pushing this scaling ring more tightly against the inner pleeve until it completely sekis the compression chamber developing more power with every mile the motor is drawn.

All parts in the Willys-Knight car are assembled with wide clearance between each other and oil is forced into these clearances under heavy pressure so that the entire assembly is lapping or wearing in on these heavy time of ail instead of wearing ont.
