The child was christened Gerald David, the sponsors being the Earl and Countess of Harewood, who stood proxy for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of York respectively, and the lady who stood proxy for the Duchess of Northumber land. Others present were Mrs. A. H. Kelk, Miss Kelk, and Mr. W. I H Kelk son of the vicar of Goldsborough. The Rev. A. H. Kelk officiated.
