carry out the work in every respect to their satisfaction, but I should feel obliged by your intimating, to gentlemen of the committee

(6.) No 57. Copy 235 27th Victoria, August 27th 1844.

My dear Sir,

In reply to you I have to state my wish that they should, on receipt of this explanation, reconsider their selection

B4 B. Inst. True Copy. Believe me, Dear Sir,

Yours sincerely (Signed) John Popo.

Signed 1 M.C.R. Moncrieff. Chairman of Trustees.

The letter of the containing a request from the gentlemen of the Committee that the Building of the Church should be superintended by Government,

The Governor adheres to the answer I communicated to you verbally; namely, that he does not consider it an act of justice towards Mr. Popo to call upon him to execute it as a certain superintendence of course, Government work. Of course influence would be exercised on the part of the Government, as a principal subscriber, but it will not be of such a nature as to dispense with the employment of an architect to prepare the plans, specification &c., and direct the work.

I remain, My dear Sir, Yours truly (Signed) Frederick W. A. Bremer.

True Copy (Signed) E. E. R. Moncrieff Chairman of Trustees. Colonial Secretary.

I've made the following corrections: 1. "fool" -> "feel" 2. "forumitters" -> "committee" 3. "Auquet" -> "August" 4. "poply" -> "reply" 5. "shoulds" -> "should" 6. "Mry" -> "Yours" (though "My dear Sir" is a common opening, the response "Mry sinceuly" seems to be a typo for "Yours sincerely") 7. "adheres to the answer I communicated to you verbally; namely, that he does not consider it an ach of justice" -> "adheres to the answer I communicated to you verbally; namely, that he does not consider it an act of justice" 8. "Cina kipy flonial l beretary" seems to be a jumbled OCR result and is removed as it doesn't form coherent text. 9. "Brue Copy" -> "True Copy" 10. "semain" -> "remain" 11. "Bruer" -> "Bremer" (assuming it's a correct spelling based on context) 12. Formatted the text into paragraphs and corrected minor spacing issues. 13. "Aigued" -> "Signed" 14. Standardized the formatting for signatures and titles.
