Gertainly the hairdresser and the poet have points in common, writes a lady contributor to the Manchestre Guardian. Both are chiefly concerned with appear ace. The perception and the creation of beauty are among their first duties, and bath by the nature of their callings. are compelled to a rather special interest in womankind. But there is an import- an: distinction that has been brought home to me through a course of sham- poos, singes, and waves, long enough to imply an uncomfortable tale of years.
