The Times announces that a remarkable collection of Nelson papers has recently como to light. It is in the possession of Messrs. Robson & Co., who have kindly allowed it to be examined systematically. The history of the papers from the time when they left. Nelson's hands, is at pre sent unknown; their former owner, from whom Messrs. Robson aequited them, had them for several years, but all, else is u subject for conjecture, e

This, however, is of relatively small importance, as there can be no doubt of their authenticity. The papers are, with a few exceptions, not autographs by Nelson; they consist almost entirely of formal documents and reports made to Nelson by the officers of the ships under bis command during the two periods when he flew his flag in the Mediter ranca. The docu ments are such as are not preserved in the public records, and illustrate in great detail the administrative working of the Fleet. They cover all questions of main- tenuice and supply, both of the ships" companies and of the ships themselves. There is thus mich valuable material for a complete knowledge of how the Fleet was victualled; the medical returns and reports, especially from 1803 to 1503, the period of the blockade of Toulon, are equally satisfactory; and there are in- teresting" paper concerning the clothing of the men.
