The annual meeting of the Hongkong Book Club was held last evening in the Sanitary Board Room. Dr. W. W. Pearse presided and there was a fair attendance of members. Dr. Pearse was re-elected President of the Club whilst Mr. Charles Gerken was heartily thanked for his ser- vices as Hon. Secretary and Treasurer and re-elected to serve in the same) capacity for the ensuing year. Some dis- cussion took place on the method of selecting books and it was finally, decided that the Hon.
