The cooling unit is a specially con structed tionisl copper tank, in which is located series of copper coils through IN which the refrigerant flows. These, colla are surrounded by brine with which the tank is filled. The purpose of the brine is to stabilize the cold produced by the Kelvinator, und maintain uniform temperatures at a lower operating cost than can be obtained through the use of open expansion calls.
