Major General Staveley's despatch of June, enclosing Mr Gray's despatch.
I think that it will be enough to acknowledge the receipt of this Despatch.

The Military received a Pardon from The Queen, which was forwarded to the Colony by the Mail; the Governor was at the same time desired to cause it to be formally explained to these men that the Pardon was granted on condition that they did not return to the United Kingdom during the residue of their respective sentence.
