Despatches from Lieutenant Governor of Hong Kong

Hong Kong, 24th May, 1850
With reference to paragraph 4 of His Excellency the Governor's Despatch No. 157 of the 26th ultimo, I have the honor to inform your Lordship that I have appointed Mr. George Wittingham Jaine temporary Clerk in the Colonial Treasury at a salary of £200 per annum, and on the conditions mentioned in the paragraph above referred to.
