SOUTH CHINA 2. EAST SURREYS.
The sun! érowd of Chinese crowded the goal ends of the Club ground, and the surrounding hills and the stands were comfortably filled when the teams took the freld sharp to time on Saturday.
South China wun the toss and set tha Surreys to face the sun. The game open- ed very fast, and the defence on both sides were called upon early to clear. Humberstone and Lai Wai Tong missed for their respective "sides early in the game and South China forced a corner which WIL% fruitless. Another good chance for the Surreys was lost when. Humberstone charged Lan Hing Cheung for the ball had arrived at the goal. The Surreys foced in corner which was also fruitless.
Lau Hing Cheung did well to clear from a fast shot by Charlesworth, and South China, taking up the attack on the left, a fur centre by Chan Kwong In led up the first goal of the match, for Boniface, in attempting to clear, turned the ball into his own goal.
With a goal against them after fifteen minutes play, the Surreys puts on pres sure, hut offside play by Wonkridge spoilt a good opening. South China's wing aien were very good and their centres always had the Surrey backs guessing Eaton put in a couple of good Fus, but failed to follow up, and several chances were lost. The Surreys put on pressure but failed to penetrate the South China defence until Wooldridge received and running through beat Lau Hing Cheng with a well directed shot that gave the South China goalkeeper no chance. Thus the scores were one all after thirty-three minutes' play.
The game continued very fast and even, and at the interval the scores were still: South China, 1; East Surreys, 1.
From the re-start the Surreys took up the attack, but offside play by Wooldridge relieved. Gire and take play followed, there being little to choose between the. teams. The forwards were good in the open, but very faulty, in front of goal, consequently the goal-keepers had an easy time. Good work by Eaton placed the South China goal in danger but the Surreys' player sent the ball over the bar when a goal seemed a certainty.
Douglas was well applauded for clear- ing from a fast cross shot by Lai Wai Tong and South China returning forced William to kick behind.
When the ball was dropped close in from the corner kick, Lai Wai Tong fouled a defender and a free kick against South China was cleared. At the other end Humberstone forted Lau Hing Cheung out of goal to clear and shortly after the same player again tested Lau Chan Kwong lu ended up a fine run with a perfect centre which Douglas deared. The play continued, fast and interesting, the middle line on both sides putting in good work, Wang Pak Chong missed what appeared to be an easy chance for receiving a pass from Choi Ping Fan, and with only Douglas to beat, he sent the all the wrong side of the upright Shortly after this the South China centro- forward skimmed the bar with a fast shot when Douglas was out of position. Keep ing up the pressure, South China were awarded a penalty kick but Lai Wai-Tong missed. After this the Surreys had more of the game keeping up the pressure forced a corner on the left. The result ant kick won the game for the Surrey, for, Mackleworth dropped the ball within inches of the upright and it was an easy matter for Eaton to turn the ball into the goal.
Shortly after, the whistle, sounded for time, and Surreys won a fast and well

The Day of the Knight is Here !
IT IS THE
WILLYS-KNIGHT
Simplest and most trouble-free type of motor ever invented.
It has the most districtive and gracefully balanced body of any car
in the market.
1.-The Willys-Knight car is the four cylinder motored car that makes the six
unnecessary.
The Knight motor is stém principle. The valves are two cylindrical sleeves with rectangular slots or porte which when they register with each other and the ports in the block allow the ingress and egress of the gases without olatruction. These wide open jassages, particularly on the exhaust sile, permit a more thorough cleaning of the burnt gases from the combustion chamber than any other type of motor, so that every onnes of energy available in ntilizmi from the explosive mixture, which gives us much tremendons power,
#
2-It has no valve to grind and no carbon to clean.
·
The combustion chamber is completely surrounded by water and an alloy piston notal for its great heat radiating qualities is used se neither the combustion chamber nor the head of the piston gets bot enough to bake the residue from the exposed gases to form carbon while there is still enough heat maintained to handle the espionite mixture effectively.
3-It is the only type of motor that improves with use.
While carbon can not form in the combustion chamber, still a certain amount of the residue from the Lorat gases works up behind the wide sealing ring in the cylinder head and, as this building in process obtains, it keeps pushing this sealing ring more tightly against the inner sleeve until it completely seals the compression chamber developing more power with every mild the snoter is drawr.
4-It is the only type of motor that wears in while other wears out.
All parts in the Willys-Knight car are assembled with wide clearance between each other and oil is forced into these clearances under heaty pressure so that the entire assembly is lapping or wearing in on these heavy Blas of ail instead of wearing cut. In other words, every bearing in this motor is an oil bearing instead of a metal to metal bearing which is necessary in the construction of a poppet válve motor in order to keep it quiet with subsequent quick wear and noise.
It has eliminated one hundred and sixty two quick wearing parts necessary in the operation of a cylindered. poppet valve motor. There are no hammering parts such as came striking against push rods, push rods against faire stems, or valve heads snapping back into their seats through the medium of heavy springs, etc.

HOW TO GET GOOD SERVICE FROM
MICHELIN TYRES.
Keep tyres pumped up to correct pressure for the load they have to carry. We can tell you what this should be,
When tyres are under inflated there is continual internal friction between the foundation cord and the rubber, causing overheating of the tyre and consequent rapid deterioration.
Water can also enter causing rust, resulting eventually in, the rims having sharp edges which cut the walls of the tyre near the bead.
Most cars in Hongkong run on under inflated tyres with the above disastrous results. Have your wheels examined front and rear for trueness and tracking alignment. If they are at fault in this respect the tread of the cover is subject to a grinding action which quickly destroys the cover.
Keep tyres free from oil and grease.
Start and stop gently and take comers slowly.
Lastly buy MICHELIN tyres from us and follow the above advice and
tyre satisfaction is assured,
