carefully investigated by the late Attorney General, who, finding that you were indebted to the Public in the sum of £17.17.6, in accordance with his instruction, surcharged you with that amount, and further in answer to queries from the Audit Board on the subject of the £31.9.- (twice received by you), transmitted to England a full statement on the subject together with a copy of your letter dated 23rd October.
