I have the honor to report to Your Lordship that His Excellency, the Governor in Council confirmed ultimo the sentence of death which had been passed by the Supreme Court on four persons of the Chinese Koong Aryard, Stomp, Archung and Leo Areer, charged with and convicted of Piracy with stabbing and wounding, at the last Criminal Sessions held on the 17th of the last month, in consequence of the Chief Justice, who was specially summoned to attend at the Council board, being of opinion, that their guilt was clearly proved, and that there were 300
