A fair amount of business has been put through, principally on Settlement Ac count, and higher prices may be antici- pated after its liquidation..
Baoks. Sales of Hongkong and Shang- hai Banks have been made at 81,145/1.135, and more could be placed at the former figure. The London' price is wired at £129.15 (middle).
Marine and Fire Insurances-Unions are a shade easier and have been sold at $215/918. Thage are buyers of Cantana at 8713. North Chinas at Tls. 140, Yang. tsze's at 827, China Fires at 8145 and Hongkong Fires at $355.
