Double Geranium-1, Mr. J. H. Tag. has been a very noticeable lack of sugart. Mr. G. M. Shaw, shine for days and days at a stretch, which has been decidedly discouraging On the Peak we for many gardeners. have had nothing but deny fogs for weeks past, whilst on the tower levels. things have not been a great deal better. Consequently, many intending competi zors have had not been able to exhibit. Those exhibits which were staged, were shown to great effect and certainly" dected a deal of edit on the exhibitors. The exhibits in the open class were the whole quite to the average, and amongst these a display of cactus dahlias shown by Mr. Ha Fook attracted atten tion. Larkspur or the whole made a good show, but the Geraniums were not up to the average. Cesarins, ennsidering the difficulties attached to their cultivation. were pleasing, whilst the display of care nations was above the average. The salvia looked very healthy but the display of nasturtiums was weak, The pansies have been badly affected by the weather, though those shown were good.

From the Peak the outstanding exhibits were- marguerites and verbenna, whilst Peak vegetables were high in quality. The Hongkong Club scored with a splendid selection of vegetables, which carried off the first prize. There was an outstand. ing display of lecks.

The table decorations were neatly ar ranged, 3rs. Harrington's entry being quite the best, seer and well worthy of the first prize. The baskets of flowers sent by the children were commendable,
