With reference to the last Paragraph of my Despatch No. 12 of the 30th January, I have the honour to report to Your Lordship that on the departure of Mr. Caunter for England, on sick leave, I caused the half salary of that officer, amounting to £202.10, which is available under the Colonial Regulations, to be divided between Mr. Rinecker, 2nd Clerk and Accountant, and Mr. Hare, 3rd Clerk in the Colonial Treasury, in the following proportions: To Mr. Rinecker's salary rate of £152.10 per annum...
