I made the following changes: 1. Corrected "Mr. Mersinle" to "Mr. Mercinte(?)" as the correct spelling is uncertain. 2. Corrected "theat" to "that". 3. Corrected "Baham" to "Bonham". 4. Corrected "Ne34" to "No34". 5. Corrected "rycentive" to no change as it seems to be an unclear OCR output, but no clear correction is available. 6. Corrected "Houghtong" to "Hongtong". 7. Corrected "Pretant" to "Instant". 8. Corrected "hones" to "hence". 9. Corrected "Licatenant-" to "Lieutenant-". 10. Corrected "F" to no change as it seems to be a single letter that might be part of a larger context or an abbreviation. 11. Made minor spacing adjustments for readability. 12. Changed "Song Houg" to "Song Hong" assuming it was a typo, but kept the original if it was a name or specific term. 13. The original text had "Tetoria, Houghtong", which was corrected to "Tetoria, Hongtong". However, "Tetoria" is likely a typo or OCR error for "Victoria", which is a common name associated with Hong Kong history. 14. The @ symbol at the end was left as is, assuming it might be a valid character or mark in the original document. However, to fully follow the instructions and given the constraint of not being able to rephrase or rewrite, the corrections should be made with the understanding that some original text might still contain errors or unclear characters. The output is in HTML format using

for paragraphs as per the instructions.
