It is now obvious that the plan being put forward ip Paris by the German industrialist, Herr Rechberg, to setile the Reparations problem means that French participation in German industry is entirely unofficial, and even unauthorised. Tho. Berlin correspondent of The Times. says that the German Government has given no support whatever to the plan, because it considers that it is unwork- able and knows that such participation would produce a very small effect on the Reparations problem."

Only four were salved, the Baden, Emden, Frank- furt and Nurnberg Germany did not gain much by this act. She had to hand over in default of the battleships 400,000 tons (reduced later to 300,000) of floating docks, her remaining light cruisers (Ging dens, Konigberg, Pillan, Regent, bury, Strasburg), to replace the light cruisers, and 42,000 tons of floating crance, tugs and dredgers, instead of the destroyers; these were more useful, than what was "wunk.
