A keen and fast game was seen at the Valley between the above teams. The Ambrose you by three goals to nil. The win was expected but the Diomede put up a very good light and more than beld their own during the first half. In the second half they were outplayed and were lucky to get off so lightly. Proudfoot played a great game for the losers and did exceptionally well. Leonard was the best of the full backs and Wiggington did well at centre halt. Dean was the most thrustful of the forwards, who were well held by a strong defence. Thompson was very good in goal for the winners and Boulter, was very sound at left back.
