GERMAN 'STLIKE IN BRITISH PORT,

The crew was a mixed one. A trimmer was ready to take his medical degree when the war started and another of the crew

a pianist. The strike has been called in support of the men's claim to a living wage. They state that the whole payment Jan Cuirk, from Singapore, with a for the thirty men and officers for the voyage to Barrow in German mark i equivalent only to Er 10, and that the pay of vach seaman on board organising secretary for Bargow of the Labour Party, had taken up the case. He obtained from the owners an offer of $2 a month for each seaman. This ba been rejected.
