Should events prove however, that India is no longer a desirable country for Anglo-Indians and Domiciled. Europeans to make their home in, and should the present initial experi ments prove successful, it is not unlikely that thousands will proceed to the new colony within the next few years. There under the British flag, which they hold s dear, the deserdants of those who fought for Britain and held-India for her, can develop into a prosperous and self-govern- ing race and make good the lost opportu nities and reglect of the last four genera tions.--The Englishuma (Calcutta).
