We have received a copy of the audited balance sheet of the collection on Noven ber 10th in aid of Earl Haig's Fund, which show that as result of the Appeal the sum of £100.9.4 was tele- graphed to Earl Haig's Fund on 29th ult.. The gross receipts amounted to 80,025.22, and. After deduction of

expenses ($318,84), the halance of 88,706.38 was remitted at exchange 2s. 34d.

The Sub-Committee wish to express their indebtedness to the large number of people who assisted in various ways to make the Appeal à success, especially to the ladies who helped in collecting, organising districts, at the depot and in the preliminary work, and to a number of well-wishers who donated sums of $500 (1), 8900 (2), 8100 (1) and several smaller amounts whose support nade the above result possible.
