This match had been specially arranged to cover the Armistice week-end, includ ing the Armistice holiday to-day. Mit- choll's XI. had first knock and they se cupied the wickets all the afternoon, just completing their innings before Stumps were drawn. There was some hard slogging, as the passengers in a certain tram-ear are aware as one of the batsmen put one over the railings hitting the tram-car on the side, fortunately, on the woodwork. Mitchell's team made a very good total of 321 and, while none) of the batsmen reached the century mark, three of them got well on the Way to wards it before being dismissed. Webster was top scorer with a very nice 77, whilst Ergand and More made 87 euth, thas making the foundations for a very hittis factory total.
