"TREVESSA " INQUIRY:
MARINE COURT'S FINDING
The Board of Trade issued on Sept. 14th the text of the Marine Court at Mauritius at the inquiry hell eh July 19th regarding the loss of the steamer Tropes. The finding ga- as folqués:-
The Court find that the British steamer Treecas foundered on June 4th, 1021 in 99.50 . and 83.43 E during a heavy S... gate, through a serions tenk in hold No. 1. The pumps were in good condition, but apparently the nature of the cargo prevented the water finding. its way to the pumps. We find that the master and crew did everything they eculd to save the ship, and only abandon- el her in time to save tife. We desire to [expres our admiration of the seamanship and discipline displayed by master. officers and crew in their long and arduon boat voyage to the Mauritius. group of islands, and also to express our apathy to the relatives of those who sireumbed to the hardship experienced."
