Rong September 8th, It is semi-officially announced that the Greek Government has informed the Lentian, French and British Pepresentatives that the Greek Het has been seat from Salamis to the Gulf of Volo in order to avoid coming into comact with Italian warships that might approach the neigh bourhood of Athens, and in order to e tablish the fact that Athens is a defenceless eity:

The Council's draft reply further suggests: au apology by Grosse, a valute by the Greek fleet, the rendering of military honours and a funeral service at Athens, the appointment, of a commission of en quiry by Greece to which representatives of the three interested Powers be adjoints, the appointment of representatives of the League to supervise a judicial enquiry, and the trial of the accused. Signor Salandra objected to some of the suggestions, and the Council therefore, after a prolonged discussion adopted Lord Robert Cecil's suggestion to send the minutes to the Am- |basadors Conference, This means the Council will treat the affair conjointly with the Conference, thus safeguarding its position and dignity.
