The Admiral Oriental liner President Madison, from Seattle and Victoria viz Yokohama and Kobe, arrived at Shanghai on September 4th, and sails from that port for Hongkong this morning, depart ed from Yokohatan a day before the earth- quake occurrld.
The R.M.S. Empress of Ania (Capt. L. D. Douglas, R.N.R.), Commander, will leave here for Victoria and Vancouver, B.C.. in Sharighai (Woosung). Nagasaki, Kobe and Yokohama at noon today (Thursday). The call at Yokohama is liable to be cancelled..
