WOMEN AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS.
Speaking at a women's mass inceling at Lewisham on June 15th, under tho auspices of the East Lewisham Women's Municipal Society and Citizens Associa tion, Mrs. Lloyd George said women could ot make the best us of the advantages they now had unless they carefully studied questions of the day. These questions to a very large extent, either directly or in- directly, touched the homes of the people. Women ought to stand together on some of those questions even if they belonged to different partisan polities, because there were so many problems upon which they could bring their great influence and weight more effectively to bear than if they were divided. Unity in these matters was strength.
