SOVIET SHIP IN THE EAST.
A Russian Soviet steamer, the Bekahvist, arrived at Singapore, last week. She is a vessel of 4,160 tons and carries a crew of 74. Owned by the Russian Govern. ment and sailing under the flag of the Russian Socialistic Federal Soviet Re public, she is the first shop of her kim to arrive at Singapore since the beginning of the Soviet regime. The chubrist Jeft Pitrograd on March 18th for Hamburg and has come out mast by way of Con atantinople, Port Said and Colombo, carrying a carge of 8,500 tons of salt.
