I have the honor to enclose for Your Lordship's information an authenticated copy of Ordinance Nr. 1 of 1850, entitled "An Ordinance for the better administration of Justice in Criminal Proceedings before the Supreme Court, and for improving the Law of Evidence," which passed the Legislative Council on the 15th Instant, and which I trust Your Lordship will be enabled to submit for the confirmation of Her Majesty The Queen.
The Ordinance was passed in conformity with the desire of Mr Chief Justice, The Right Honorable The Earl Grey.
