Exton Weather Telegrams.-The following stations send extra weather telegrams at half rate during typhoons, on receipt of certain ewlo words from Hongkong:-Amoy, Chaton, Macao, Phulien, Sharp Feak, Taihoku. The Dietor of the Philippines Weather Bureau also sends extra telegrams, at his discretion, from Aparri de sumy otiter station nearer the typhoon centre. The extra 9 pin. telegram from Swatow, kindly unctioned by the Chinese Telegraph Ad- ministration during the typhoon senson. was sellout receive

It will be seen (front table games shewind the number of weather telegrams recieved from ships by radio) that the number of messages receivel has increased, averaging 18 ships per day in 1922. This represents only 197, of the average number of ships within call of Cape d'Aguilar, however, It is to be hoped that the time is not for distant wherevery ship within call will send obser vations by radio, telegraphy as a matter of routine, in accordance with the Notice to Mariners on the subject.
