We understand that from the middle of this month a number of new rules will come into force governing the size and purchasing of ponies to be entered for the races held under the auspices of the Shanghai Race Club.
Regarding size, no way of more than 14 hands, high will be allowed to enter for the races and all ponies will have to be inspected by Messrs. Keylock and Pratt, who have been appointed official measurers and auctioneers for the Club.
