A Power of Attorney has been given by the late Mr Napier of Minto in the Colony of Hong Kong to Alexander Hunter Esq., Writer to the Signet, Edinburgh to enable him to receive from Her Majesty's Colonial Office so much of Mr Napier's Salary as will amount to £100.-

On behalf of Mr Hunter we beg leave to enquire whether a receipt for any sum due to Mr Napier could be forwarded from The Colonial Office through us for Mr Hunter's signature, or whether his personal appearance will be required.
Mr Hunter is resident in Edinburgh, & a Power of Substitution is provided in the Power of Attorney (which we beg to inclose for inspection), should Mr Hunter's personal appearance be required, we will obtain from him the necessary document to enable us to act in his behalf.
