Ho was sleeping the sleep of the tired after a day's strenuous wurk when his ball- terrier dog that slept with him on the sama cot, suddenly started barking and aroused him. He noticed that the animal was trembling through fright and doing its best to get its head inside his night coat. It was about four o'clock and on opening his eyes, he was horrified to see the figure of a Mahomedan with a flowing white beard enscading over his brow chest standing near the head of his cat." He was paralysed through fright, and well he might have been, for he was aware that it was something supernatural, sine his doors had been bolted from inside the night previous and ↑ were intact when be found himself con fronting the apparition.
