"ROMANCE."

MISS DORIS KHANE'S DEBUT.

"Romance," in which Miss Doris Keane appears at the Coronet today and incidentally makes her frat appearance locally in motion pictures, fully justifles the promise of its title,

In the beginning of the story a young man. of to-day, who has made up his mind to marry an actress, comes to ask the consent of his uncle, who is the Bishop of New York. When the old man endeav ours to dissuade him from his purpose the youth accuse him of having forgotten what it is to be young and eagerly in Love. Thereupon the,, Bishop leans back in his namchair by the fire and tells the story of his own love, over forty years before, for the famous Opera singer Cavallini. At the end of the recital of this old and tender romance the young man insiste that he is more than ever de termined to marry the girl, of his choice and the Bishop, zwakened to sympathy by his pathetic recollection, finally con sents and gives the youth his blessing. It is the Bishop's love-story that constitutes the picture and if is acted by Miss Kenne and her huband, Mr. Baril Sydney, in a fashion which is unforgettably fine. Miss Keane's great personal magnetism loses nothing of its power on the screen, and in the many emotional love scener with Mr. Sydney the reveals the qualities with which she has made her name azid fame.
