He also recommends a reduction in the Rental of the Marine Lot No. 2 held by Robert Strachan from £120. 6. 2. to £51. 11. 2, observing that this appears to be one of the cases which come under the scope of Earl Grey's Instructions of 15 April last, on the general question of reduction of the Rates of Rent in this Colony.

The Despatch No. 80 contains the Governor's recommendation that a piece of ground consisting of ten acres at Aberdeen should be allotted to Mons? Forcade, the Roman Catholic Bishop, at a nominal Rental of one Dollar per annum. It is made clear that this is solely for Religious or Educational purposes.
4. We have to report that we do not see any reason why the course recommended by the Governor should not be confirmed in all respects.
